Shashikant Siddu Naik

Shashikant Siddu Naik, born on July 15, 1953, hails from a modest family in Thane, India. Facing financial challenges in his childhood, his father sent him to a village in Karnataka for his education. Shashikant’s journey began at a young age, experiencing various hardships and obstacles, but he persevered.

Returning to Thane after completing his education, he established the “Morning Cricket Club.” His mission was to provide cricket training to underprivileged children, initially starting with 15 kids, encouraging them to continue their studies. With dedication and determination, he transformed ‘Morning Cricket Club’ into a hub of talent.

Since 1969, Shashikant has coached over 24,000 players during his career, impacting the world of cricket. His remarkable contribution to cricket coaching has earned him recognition as “Dronacharya of Cricket” and the Samaj Bhusan Award and numerous honours from the government, with accolades from the Prime Minister and the Governor.
